The local app is free to use. An optional paid synchronization service may come later.
Current release
Notryn is early software. Features and packaging can change. Keep your own backups and use the installation guide for the supported platforms and current limits.
Cloud synchronization and an integrated generative AI model are not included. No subscription is required for the local app.
Code license
Copyright 2026 Pedro Teixeira. Notryn is licensed under PolyForm Shield 1.0.0. You can use it for free for purposes allowed by the license, including within a business. The license restricts developing or providing competing products, including free substitutes. Read the full license before modifying or redistributing it.
This is source-available software, not MIT or an OSI open-source license. Third-party components retain their own licenses. The Notryn name and logo are not licensed for presenting another product as the official project.
Contributions and support
The project is maintained by Pedro Teixeira. Contributions follow the contribution guide and agreement and are reviewed before merging. The beta is provided without a support SLA or warranties, subject to the license and any mandatory rights under applicable law.
